Trend Report: Ballet Inspired Pieces

The November 2013 online issue of Elle Magazine highlights the ballet trend.  From Coco Chanel to Valentino Garavani to Joseph Altuzarra, designers have dabbled in ballet costuming for decades. Just about as often as fashion has found its way to the stage, ballet-inspired looks have danced onto the runways. This season, designers drew ideas from warm-up class and opening night, creating fluttery tulle numbers as well as bodysuits and wrap sweaters.

All little girls like to dress up like a ballerina!  But big girls can keep the dream alive!  Feminine and whimisical, the yellow and white skirt below is by New York designer Alexia Admor.  Alexia Admor was founded in 1989 and is situated in the heart of Manhattan’s fashion district. The collection makes regular appearances in top magazine publications such as People StyleWatch, Us Weekly, Lucky, InStyle, Glamour, and InTouch and is coveted by Hollywood A-listers, influential socialites and fans across the globe. Alexia Admor is available nationally at better department stores such as Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s and Lord and Taylor, as well as specialty stores and boutiques worldwide.
